5 Things to see and do in Amsterdam

Hey guys, so I have decided to start a newish series on this blog. So rather than doing travel guides, I am going to be doing 5 things to see and do in … So without further ado here is 5 things to see and do in Amsterdam.

Icebar Amsterdam

Icebar Amsterdam

The original Icebar is well worth a visit. Whether you drink or not it is still worth a visit for the experience and the pictures obviously.

Hop on hop off boat tour

Now like most major cities Amsterdam has a Hop on Hop off tour bus, but they also have a boat tour. I would honestly recommend the boat tour over the bus because you see so much more. This is because Amsterdam has a lot more canals than roads so the boat is much better value for money.

Anne Frank House

Anne Frank House is a must see in Amsterdam, but I, unfortunately, didn’t manage to visit when I was there. My biggest advice for Anne Frank House is to book in advance or risk queuing for hours on end to get in. However, if you have the time to queue definitely do so you get to experience this amazing place.

Museumplein

Museumplein

Now you might be wondering why I haven’t put places like the Van Goch Museum on this list and well that’s because Museumplein encompasses them all. This square opposite Vondelpark is where the majority of the major museums are located and is stunning. This is definitely worth a visit even if you don’t go to the museums. It is also where the I Amsterdam sign is.

Vondelpark

Vondelpark

As seen in the film ‘The Fault in our Stars’ it really is a beautiful park. I would definitely recommend visiting. Go and get an ice cream and just walk for miles, or even hire a bike and go cycle around this beautiful park.

Hope you enjoyed this post. Look out for more posts like this
